 Visa and Official Invitation Letter
 
Visa may be required for participants coming from some countries . For further information, participants are advised to consult their local agencies or the nearest Portuguese diplomatic mission. Participants requiring a visa for entry to Portugal are strongly advised to make an application in their home country at least three months before the intended date of travel. The organizing committee will be pleased to send a letter of invitation to any individual requesting it in the registration form.

Citizens from the European Union, Switzerland, Andorra, Liechtenstein and Malta require an Identity Card or valid Passport in order to gain entry into Portugal.
 
Citizens from the following Countries do not need to apply for a Visa for a visit or transit in Schengen countries. However, being exempted from Visa application doesn’t allow visitors to work or to stay longer than 90 days in a period of 180 days in Schengen countries.

  • Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, European Union countries, Guatemala, Honduras, Israel. Japan, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, United States of America, Uruguay, Vatican, Venezuela

  • In addition, Chinese citizen holding a Hong Kong and Macao passport are exempted from visa application.

Holders of the following passports need a visa:
