 iWAT Profile 
 
The International Workshop on Antenna Technology – iWAT – is an annual event aiming at bringing together academia and industrial communities in a forum for fruitful exchange of information on the progress of research and development in innovative antenna technologies and in advanced artificial materials for antennas.
 
 Past Editions
 
The first edition was successfully held in Singapore in 2005 (iWAT’05), with about 160 participants and 120 technical papers. The second edition, iWAT’06 was held in New York, USA. The 2007 edition (iWAT’07) was in Cambridge, UK. In 2008, (iWAT’08) was in Chiba, Japan, attended by more than 210 people from 27 different countries and 145 technical papers were presented. The 2009 edition (iWAT’09) moved to Santa Monica, California, USA.

In 2010, iWAT is back to Europe; it will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, hosted by the Instituto de Telecomunicações and Instituto Superior Técnico - Technical University of Lisbon, on March 1-3, 2010.
 
 About iWAT 2010
 
iWAT 2010 is organized by Instituto de Telecomunicações, Instituto Superior Técnico – Technical University of Lisbon, co-sponsored by IEEE Portugal Section, and technically co- sponsored by IEEE AP-S, IET and the University of Liverpool.

iWAT 2010 continues the successful format from previous editions. It is structured around eight keynote addresses by distinguished speakers, followed by oral and poster sessions. Poster sessions play a major role in iWAT format, with ample time for direct contact and lively discussion with authors. A prize will be awarded to the Best Student Paper. The Workshop includes an industrial panel session where antenna design challenges ahead will be addressed by leading experts that bridge between the industrial perspective and the academia. All oral sessions are plenary.

Papers are peer reviewed and those effectively presented at the Workshop (oral and poster) will be Included in the iWAT 2010 compilation for the IEEE Xplorer.

Exhibitor booths are located in the coffee break halls, side by side with the auditorium and the poster rooms.
